Therapy dogs are dogs who go with their owners to volunteer in settings such as schools, libraries, hospitals, and nursing homes. From working with a child who is learning to read or a special needs child to visiting a senior in assisted living to visiting hospital patients and staff, therapy dogs and their owners work together as a team to improve the lives of other people.

We thank the following organizations for their gracious support as we pursue our mission.

Kendall County Fairgrounds Association

Rush Copley Foundation

Rush Copley Medical

“The dogs and their handlers help to make hospitalization less stressful and frightening for patients and their families.  It is nice to see that these pet visits can have a calming effect.   We do receive several requests for visits and FVTC has been great in being a consistent presence at Rush Copley.  We appreciate their dedication and service.”
